Summer is finally HERE! ☀️We couldn't be more excited for our favorite season of all time! Summer is all about bikinis, warmer weather, and MORE BEACH DAYS! With the warm weather comes dry skin due to the dry air and possibly dehydration. Many of us tend to moisturize our face and body but what about our lips? Our lips need to be moisturized and protected too, just as much as the rest of our body.
Finding a good lip balm is always tricky, especially when so many beauty products are filled with harmful chemicals. It is extremely important that we check the ingredients in ALL our products. The best way to know what we are putting on our bodies is by making our own products! Happiness is Homemade has this easy lip balm DIY that literally only takes 10 minutes, yes I said 10 minutes! You can make any flavored lip balm of your choice in such a short period of time. They can also make great gifts for your gal pals. The possibilities are endless!
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- 3 Tbsp. Beeswax Pellets
- 2 Tbsp. Shea Butter
- 4 Tbsp. Coconut Oil or other liquid oil such as Almond Oil, Olive Oil or Grapeseed Oil

- Lip balm containers (we found some on Amazon)
In a microwave-safe container, melt the beeswax, shea butter, and coconut oil in 30-second increments, stirring well after each one.
Stir in the essential oil or flavor oil.
Carefully pour into lip balm container and allow to cool before using.
