At the heart of the collection is a limited-edition collaboration with fine art ceramist Mikkel Westrup. Known for fusing softness with edge, Westrup brings his signature contrast to Deep Sea Chinoiserie, a print where porcelain-inspired florals twist through barbed wire and chain. It’s elegance bound in tension. Beauty tangled in wreckage.
Mikkel Westrup
The Danish artist Mikkel Westrup (b. 1981) lives and works in Copenhagen, Denmark. While exploring various creative disciplines, he has recently honed his focus on porcelain decoration. Merging traditional craftsmanship with contemporary flair, Westrup meticulously hand-paints each motif, adorned with a cobalt blue theme that pays homage to both historical porcelain techniques and his own artistic journey. The resulting artworks showcase a captivating blend of organic and industrial elements – sharp yet soft, melting yet growing. In a remarkably short span of time, Westrup has cultivated a distinct artistic language, earning widespread acclaim for his contributions to the field.
